Had to go to the local shopping centre ('mall' for those of a Transatlantic nature) for birthday gift for #1 Chick Friend. Didn't buy one so have to go back tomorrow (need it for the weekend). The sculpture in the picture - the characters are life-sized and mounted on a walkway - is one of the more interesting ones there.
Here in Denmark the flags come out when it's someone's birthday. Today is my friend Lisette's (aka #1 Chick Friend) 33rd. And okay, the flag in the picture has nothing to do with that, but I still thought I'd send her a little greeting. Have a good one, and I'll see you this weekend :-)

OK, OK; I admit it. I didn't have a picture yet, daylight was failing, I was getting desperate. So sue me.
Now, haven't had it checked yet, but looks as if I'd picked five out of seven on last night's National Lottery draw. Which means, if I've calculated correctly, I will get something like fourteen times my stake back. Now, if only that made up for all the weeks I lost... ;-)
Anyway, if I'm right, well... it's not big money, but there's a local bookstore that will see a few extra sales rung up (and if I'm wrong, well, what the hey... it's for a good purpose). So, fingers crossed.
Stand of Eranthis hyemalis I saw today. Saw some last weekend too. Thing is, it's way too early - normally I wouldn't expect them to be blooming until late February or thereabouts. Crazy weather...
